Blog Assignment for Friday, Sept. 11

If I let you borrow my time machine, where would you go? What time, specifically, and what place, specifically? In order for the time machine to work properly, you have to choose a precise date and a precise place. Why this time and place? Explain your decision so that we clearly understand your interest in this particular time and particular place. Compose your response as a New Post on your blog for class on Friday.

  1. If I was able to borrow your time machine I would go to my senior year district championship basketball game on february 28, 2009. We had practiced hard all year and our work finally paid off. When the buzzer sounded it brought a feeling over me that is just simply unexplainable. My teammates and i were so happy we were finally able to call ourselves champions. my family and friends came running onto the court screaming, laughing, and crying with emotion. Everyone was so proud of us and it was a once in a lifetime feeling. That is why if i was able to borrow your time machine that is the time i would go back to.

  2. If I borrowed your time machine I would go back to my freshman year of high school. My classes were so much fun and I had them with a lot of my friends. However my main reason for going back to my freshman year is to stop myself from slacking on my school work. My graduating GPA was a B but if I didn't slack I would've gotten an A. Going back to that point in my life would be the smartest choice if I could go back in time.

  4. If I could borrow your time machine I would go to November 20, 1982. The event that went down on this day is one if not the most memorable plays to ever happen in college football. The play happened during the Cal-Stanford football game and immortalized as the greatest game winning plays in college football. When I watch this play it gives me goosebumps and I would do anything to be able to see this play in real life.

  6. If I had a time machine, I would go back to December 3, 2007. That was when I got to drive down to Atlanta on a school night to watch one of my favorite bands, Angels and Airwaves. Me and my brother got there around six, and the concert started at seven, so we ate at Johnny Rocket's and then headed to the show. It was only a hundred yards away, so we got there and waited until they opened the doors at six thirty. The concert was epic, and we were only five feet from the stage. After it was over, we drove home and arrived around two in the morning. We had to wake up to go to school the next day, but it was definitely worth it!

  7. If I could borrow your time machine I would go back to May 26, 2004. This date was one day before my baseball coach died in a car accident. He wasn't only my baseball coach, he was a mentor, a leader, and most importantly, a friend. I just wish i could have told him one more time how much he meant to me and my family.

  8. If i had the opportunity to go back in time i would go back to my last cheerleading competition. I cheered for about eight years and my sophmore year was the last. This competition took place in Atlanta, Georgia and it is one of the biggest competitions out there. After all the effort and time i had put into cheerleading we ended up winning on both the teams i was on. That night was one of the happiest moments i have ever experienced.

  9. In the time machine I would travel to back to August 16, 1969 to Bethal, New York.
to the An Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music,or Woodstock. Woodstock to me was the climax and greatest celbration of the the cultural revolution of the 1960s. It was the epicenter of culturl at the time. It was a happin place to say the least.

  10. If I had a time machine i would travel back to all my summers spent in South Carolina on my family's peach orchird. Although we don't own it now it's in the distant family's possesion it's still a found memory of how as a child everything was so simple and everything was there just to be enjoyed with no worries, and to be shared with your family and friends.
